Vin Diesel is back in the explosive return of the xXx franchise. xXx: Return of Xander Cage promises ‘guns, girls and global domination.’ Athlete turned government badass Xander Cage returns from the dead in style to face a deadly threat led by a warrior named Xiang, and recover a cataclysmic weapon known as Pandora’s Box.

2002’s xXx film seemingly saw the death of Diesel’s character in a four minute short included in the DVD release titled, The Final Chapter: The Death of Xander Cage. The 2005 sequel saw rapper Ice Cube take centre stage and director Lee Tamahori replace series creator Rich Wilkes. Back in 2014, Vin Diesel announced he was returning to the series in the fittingly titled xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
The film stars Vin Diesel (Xander Cage), Donnie Yen (Xiang), Deepika Padukone (Serena Unger), Samuel L. Jackson (NSA Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons), Tony Jaa (Talon), Nina Dobrev (Rebecca “Becky” Clearidge), Ruby Rose (Adele Wolff), Kris Wu (Harvard), Rory McCann (Tennyson “The Torch”), Al Sapienza (CIA Director), Michael Bisping (Hawk), Ariadna Gutiérrez (Gina Roff).
xXx: Return of Xander Cage is expected to release on January 20, 2017 in the US and is directed by D. J Caruso.
