Mirror Master Cast in ‘The Flash’

Season 1 introduced fans to a bevy of some of the most well known Flash rogues. Season 2 continued the trend, and the show’s third run is looking to up the ante. However, one character has been left out of the mix. A character even the cast members have spoken on wanting to see appear — Mirror Master. Finally, the wait is over! Comic Book Resources is reporting The Flash has found its Mirror Master in Grey Damon, who’s appeared in Friday Night Lights,  Star-Crossed, and Aquarius.

The Warner Bros. TV description of the character is as follows:

“One of the Flash’s most infamous Rogues, Sam Scudder — aka Mirror Master — is a smooth criminal with a huge ego. Upon discovering he now has the power to travel through any reflective surface, Scudder embarks on a massive crime spree to prove himself the greatest thief that Central City has ever seen.”

As of now Damon is only confirmed to guest star in one episode. He’ll debut in Season 3’s fourth episode, which will likely air towards the end of October or in early November. The character joins other prominent Flash Rogues to appear on the show, such as Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Golden Glider, The Trickster, Reverse Flash, Weather Wizard, Pied Piper, and Captain Boomerang.

In the comics, there exists two versions of the character, Evan McCullough and Samuel Scudder. The version the show is using, Scudder, is a convict employed at a mirror factory when he accidentally discovers the special properties of a mirror he’s working on. Deciding to research further, he learns of Mirror World and sets out on a crime spree. Through manipulation of gimmick mirrors, Mirror Master can create duplicates of other people.

Interestingly, the character also has a history with Captain Cold’s sister, Lisa aka Golden Glider. Who knows if that will be explored on the show. If he’s out to prove he’s Central City’s greatest thief, he’ll no doubt be in competition with Captain Cold. Perhaps an incidental run in with a rival introduces him to the love of his life? We’ll find out soon enough.

The Flash Season 3 kicks off on Tuesday, October 4.
