The Joker sequel is set to release in theaters later this October, but we have yet to get our first teaser for the movie. For Valentine’s Day though, director Todd Phillips has decided to share new images of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and Lady Gaga’s incoming Harley Quinn.

As far as we can tell, Phoenix’s Joker pretty much looks the same, including his makeup, and when it comes to Lady Gaga’s Harley, she definitely feels a lot more toned down as compared to Margot Robbie’s version of the character.
We don’t know how the story will change for this version of the character, but it is rumored that Gaga Harley is said to not be a psychiatrist at Arkham, but a fellow patient as well. We know that Arthur has pretty much created chaos unwillingly in the first film, but how different would it be now that he has someone on his side to help him pull strings and cause all kinds of mayhem?
Rumor has it that the film is also going to be a musical this time around, and seeing how Wonka and Mean Girls had to hide that from audiences, fans are hoping that Joker: Folie a Deux will be honest with them outright when it comes to this sequel.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. With a release set for October, it’s likely we can get our first look sometime around June.
Joker: Folie a Deux is set to come out in theaters on Oct. 4.
