It seems that Universal Pictures is very confident with their Jurassic World sequel. The movie hasn’t even come out in theaters yet, and now we have an official release date for the third movie in the Jurassic World franchise.
The official Jurassic World page tweeted:
Jurassic World 3 will be released June 11, 2021. pic.twitter.com/9RLUWl13tZ

Of course, we still don’t know what the movie is about, but I think it’s safe to assume that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be back as characters Owen and Claire. I also have a feeling that they’ll bring back whoever audiences liked from Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World was one of the highest-grossing movies of 2015, and it was made to start a new franchise of Jurassic pictures. Though we know that the JW franchise is going to be a trilogy, I have a feeling that we could be looking at a full-on saga if the third movie does well enough.
Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow didn’t come back to direct Fallen Kingdom, but he is attached as producer, and we’ve been hearing nothing but nice things about his replacement J.A. Bayona. He’s said to have found a good balance between adventure and horror, and isn’t that what made the first Jurassic Park so great in the first place?
Jurassic World 3 comes out June 11, 2021, but you can catch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in theaters June 22.
