Don’t get enough of Jesus in AMC’s The Walking Dead? No worries, he’ll soon appear in Telltale’s third season. He’s a great character and a treat to watch; it’ll be cool to see how he’s implemented in Clementine’s story. You can get a quick sneak peek at him in the launch trailer below:

The trailer also gives us a bit more of Javier. There’s still plenty we don’t know about the series newest playable character. However, if Clem trusts him, why shouldn’t we give him the benefit of the doubt? He seems to be battling a few familial issues, but based on what’s shown they may have to be put on hold. During the short look we get, Clem  mentions something about a group called the New Frontier. Not only does this explain Season 3’s subtitle, it also adds a new threat. Apparently, this group “used to be decent people,” and are “now something else.” That something probably won’t be very good.

Also of note is the baby Clementine is seen carrying. Notice the “AJ” engraving on her hand; it’s probably the son of a Rebecca — the pregnant lady from the last group Clem traveled with. Does Clem’s watching over him have anything to do with a player’s previous choices? Or will AJ be tagging along regardless? Either way, this puts our heroine in a fascinating position. One that isn’t too dissimilar from the way in which we found her in Season 1. Instead of players taking on the role of an adult (Lee) being a caregiver to a defenseless child, players are now said child watching over a toddler. Everything is most definitely coming full circle.

Telltale has the following as the synopsis:

“When family is all you have left… how far will you go to protect it? Years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier?”

Season 3’s two-part premiere (The Ties That Bind Part I and Part II) kicks off on Tuesday, December 20.
