The image is not notably massive on plot, although Jude Law is aiming at the best of himself to portray a young, confident Dumbledore. Jude Law as Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts exudes himself with enough confidence that was reminiscent of the charming Dumbledore spotted in Harry Potter original films. Perhaps not yet as refined or knowledgeable as he was in Harry Potter after all he still is very young in Fantastic Beasts and has yet to learn all that life has taught him by the time he is in Harry Potter.

That being said, David Yates, the director of Fantastic Beasts shared some thoughts regarding the relationship of Dumbledore and Newt Scamander, and further explained each sees one another being “kindred spirits.” With their deep relation, it is easy to assume that a powerful chemistry can be seen between them when the film debuts.

Here you can see them taking a break from the set showing that Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne do have chemistry even when not in character.
