Everyone is excited for Deadpool 3, and though we know that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman would be teaming up for the film, the plot is still pretty much under wraps. With the rumor this week that Daniel Radcliffe has joined the cast of the film, a new leak suggests that the film could include multiple versions of Wolverine.

Seeing as I’m in the camp that they should find someone else to play Wolverine, I’m hoping that the rumor only turns out to be partly true. Though I wouldn’t want to see Jackman play the part for 10 more years, I am intrigued at the film looking at several different versions of the character—with one possibly being played by Daniel Radcliffe.
With Deadpool’s meta nature, fans are theorizing that the film will have DP dealing with the collapsing 20th Century Fox universe and tackling all the other non-MCU heroes that have come before Iron Man in 2008—and that includes properties like Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Blade, Daredevil, and of course—X-Men. Maybe we can even get some jokes about the X-Force film that never happened or the cancelled Gambit project that Channing Tatum was so eager to move forward with.
For now, the WGA Strike and SAG AFTRA Strike have led to production grinding to a halt, but fans are hopeful that negotiations will end soon and the film could still come out in 2024.
Deadpool 3 is set to release on May 3, 2024.
