Crowley and Aziraphale Return in Trailer for Good Omens 2

With the first season of Good Omens pretty much covering the original source material, fans didn’t think that a second season of the series was needed, but you can’t deny the hype surrounding the fantastic chemistry between David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

Good Omens 2 is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video next month, and we have a new trailer teasing a new original story from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Watch this:

With Crowley and Aziraphale teaming up to stop the apocalypse in the first season, we should expect a similar kind of problem with the Season 2, but things get kickstarted when the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm), goes missing and is discovered to be hiding out at Aziraphale’s place.

Just like the first season (and any other Neil Gaiman property for that matter), it looks like the movie will have a lot of silly, extensive lore on the worlds of Heaven and Hell. We already got a look at several characters and places in Season One, but it’s going to be interesting to see the world expand even more, especially now that Gaiman is working on a completely original story.

I’ll admit, the show can get kind of silly sometimes, but I guess that’s been the Gaiman brand. It’s apparent in Sandman and Good Omens, and there’s even touches of it in American Gods (which original showrunner Bryan Fuller took a very adult direction initially).

Catch the second season of Good Omens when it premieres on Amazon Prime Video on July 28.
