Clue! Was originally known as a board game that became a movie in 1985 and garnered somewhat of a cult following and now Twentieth Century Fox is ready to bring the mystery back and has optioned to reboot the film according to Deadline.
The film is actually part of a three-year, first look deal with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort who will produce the film with Allspark Pictures, which is a division of Hasbro, which owns the rights to the Clue! Boardgame. Currently, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool writers) are in talks to write the script, which we’re not sure if that means it’s going to be R-rated, but could you imagine?

The original 1985 comedy starred Eileen Brennan (Private Benjamin), Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show), Madeline Kahn (Young Frankenstein), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap), Martin Mull (Roseanne) and Lesley Ann Warren (Desperate Housewives) and was unique in that it actually offered 3 different endings, but don’t let us ruin it for you-you can actually still catch it on Amazon.

Now we just have to wait for more information, and then we can start guessing who killed who in what room witch what tool. Personally, we always like to pick the candlestick in the kitchen, but everyone has their preference we suppose.

Did you ever play Clue as a kid? If so what was your favorite part of the game? Let us know in the comments below.
