Crystal Dynamics’ Avengers game was supposed to come out last May, but the devs have opted to release the game in September instead. With all gamers focused on the release of The Last of Us Part II this week, game director Shaun Escayg has decided to tease a new trailer for his Avengers game coming next Wednesday.

Here’s the post:

While we have seen images of the game before, we haven’t seen the characters in these costumes yet, which look to be armored versions of their original get-ups—no doubt something Iron Man had a hand in doing. The only character with no costume is probably the Hulk, and I can’t imagine him getting any kind of upgrade. As for Captain America, he’s said to die very early in the game, yet he’s still a playable character, which puts the question of his demise up in the air.

With the success of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, a lot of people are curious of how Avengers will fare. While the gameplay looks interesting, it’s curious how it will compare to other AAA titles. Personally, the only character I’m excited for is Ms. Marvel, since she’s not in the MCU, but with the other heroes in the roster, I think they’ll have a huge hurdle to surpass when it comes to fans comparing them to their movie counterparts.

Marvel’s Avengers is a story-driven, third-person action-adventure game. Players reassemble and rebuild their Avengers roster in an original, cinematic single-player campaign, then battle solo or online alongside friends in new missions around the globe. Customize Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and then harness their unique powers to defend the world from escalating threats for years to come.

Marvel’s Avengers is set for a release on Sept. 4.
