Baywatch will surf into theaters on May 25th, ready to put us all in the mood for summer. A big screen remake of the original Baywatch, the movie stars Dwayne Johnson as Mitch Buchanon, and Zac Efron as the new lifeguard in town, Matt Brody. Alexandra Daddario takes the role of Summer, while Kelly Rohrbach plays C.J. Parker, the role originally made famous by Pamela Anderson. Both Anderson and Baywatch icon, David Hasselhoff, will appear in the movie. Priyanka Chopra plays the villain of the piece, and she looks to be a great antagonist. The final trailer for Baywatch has arrived (via Dwayne Johnson’s Twitter), take a look, below.

As with the original Baywatch TV series, the plot for the movie is a little thin; Mitch and Matt are both very different, and they need to set aside their differences and work together in order to bust a crime syndicate terrorizing the bay. Let’s be real, though; none of us watched Baywatch for the gripping plotlines, and we won’t be heading to theaters to watch Baywatch hoping for a highbrow movie with in-depth characterization, either.

As with other Baywatch trailers, this one is packed full of humor, as well as impressive stunts. Baywatch has an R-rating, and it intends to make the most of  it. With warnings of language throughout, crude sexual content, and graphic nudity, Johnson was right when he insisted the movie will be far dirtier than the TV series. Paramount are going all out with this one, and the results are hilarious.

All promotion released thus far, from teasers, to trailers, to posters, shows a movie that’s not afraid to poke fun at itself or its cast. In fact, the Baywatch trailers have proven far more amusing than anyone could have predicted, and the film could end up being quite a hit. A recently released TV spot highlighted the women of Baywatch, something the show was always renowned for. This time, however, while there’s still plenty of posing going on, the girls are more than capable of packing a punch, literally.

Recently, there was also a SloMo Marathon held. Highlights are shown below, and really, you have to admit to wanting to have a go.

Baywatch will be released on May 25th.
