Things Go Wrong in a 70s Variety Show in Clip from Late Night with the Devil

David Dastmalchian may not have been able to return for Dune: Part Two, but he does get to be in the spotlight of an upcoming horror movie called Late Night with the Devil. The film comes to theaters later this month, and we have a new clip thanks to IGN.

Check this out:

Here’s the official description of the film:

October 31, 1977. Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated late night talk show ‘Night Owls’ that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country.

A year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware that he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America.

The trailer has definitely been able to catch the attention of several horror fans. We’ve seen found-footage horror movies before with films like Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch project, but Late Night with the Devil takes that concept and kind of puts the horror in the middle of a variety television show set in the 70s.

The premise is no doubt unique, but I am also happy to see David Dastmalchian have a central role in a movie. After playing several side characters in films like Ant-Man and The Suicide Squad, I’m eager to watch him slowly unravel as the devil takes over his late night show.

Catch Late Night with the Devil when it comes to theaters on March 22.
