One particular standout moment was Alicia Keys making her entrance, and though she looked amazing, a lot of fans were suddenly caught off guard when her voice cracked when she first starts singing. Check this out:

So far, Twitter is filled with comments about “Alicia losing her keys”, but the NFL apparently has her back. In the officially uploaded performance on Youtube, Key’s voice had been altered so that she starts the set without her voice cracking. Check this out (Keys starts at 4:00):

Admittedly, Keys’ entrance wasn’t the only thing that fans took note of last Sunday. A lot of people have also been talking about the way that Usher gives her a hug during their duet, and a lot of people thought that he was getting ridiculously close to Keys who was a married woman. So far, fans online have been having fun picking apart the Super Bowl for any noteworthy clips and memes. Taylor Swift has of course gotten the spotlight since she’s also in the middle of her Eras tour when she had to fly in and show support for her current boyfriend Travis Kelce whose team won the Super Bowl. There’s also been a lot of shenanigans involving Nickelodeon’s broadcast which had a fun Spongebob filter over the entire thing.

]]> New Super Bowl Banner for the Flash has New Looks at Both Flashes https://www.geekfeed.com/new-super-bowl-banner-for-the-flash/ Wed, 04 Jan 2023 11:54:33 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72729 The upcoming Flash movie promises two new suits for Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen—one more streamlined suit that the Justice League one, and another one made out of a Michael Keaton batsuit.

The first trailer is set to drop this February at the Super Bowl, and we have a new banner that gives us a look at both Flashes. Check this out:

We don’t know exactly where the new Flash costume comes from, but the suit definitely only looks good from certain angles. A lot of the suit we’ve seen so far have admittedly been kind of goofy, but it some shots, it does look pretty amazing.

I am actually more partial to the improvised suit, because a lot of its design tells a story from the spray-painted lightning bolts to the cut off ‘ears’. I guess I’ve always been a sucker for messy, DIY suits from the Ironheart Mk. 1 suit in Black Panther 2 to Peter Parker’s homemade outfit from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Going back to The Flash though, here has been word going around that test screenings have been overwhelmingly positive. With James Gunn and Peter Safran planning a huge overhaul of the franchise, it’s curious how The Flash movie is going to end, especially with all the characters it was allegedly setting up.

I guess we’ll just have to wait for the movie to find out what happens.

Super Bowl Sunday takes place on Feb. 12. The Flash is set to come out in theaters June 16, 2023.

Here’s the logline:

80 FOR BRADY is inspired by the true story of four best friends living life to the fullest when they take a wild trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their hero Tom Brady play.

Besides Tomlin, Moreno, Fonda, and Field, the movie also has Brady playing himself, and he’s also attached as a producer for the film.

Of course, the movie also has cameos from other prominent celebrities, like Billy Porter and Guy Fieri.

The movie comes from director Kyle Marvin who was also behind the indie movie The Climb. The script from Michael Covino is also said to be based on a draft from Booksmart writers Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins.

The premise is admittedly fun, and I’m sure a lot of people would enjoy watching the silly clashing of worlds of older women and the testosterone-fuelled industry that is football. Based on what we see from the trailer, we’re also going to be getting scenes highlighting what each of the ladies were famous for (like Rita Moreno who was a fabulous dancer). I just hope the film releasing on ‘dump month’ doesn’t hurt its expected numbers.

80 for Brady comes to theaters on Feb. 3, 2023.
