Release Window for Spider-Man 2 Leaked?

A lot of fans have been hyped for the release of Insomniac’s next Spider-Man game this year, but until now we’ve yet to get a release date. What’s interesting is, we may have gotten the release window thanks to Venom actor Tony Todd.

As per Video Game Chronicle, Todd, in a now-deleted tweet, has confirmed that the game is looking to release in September. The post reads:

Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in August. Commercials start dropping in August so I’m told. Hold on to your… and hold breath! Gonna be necessary

So far, nothing official has been revealed by Sony, but considering how long development has been going on for the game, a September release date is very likely. Of course, we should always expect snags when it comes to these huge AAA games; so it’s possible the game could be pushed back to December for a big Christmas release day.

With the PS5 launching with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, fans are now ready to Peter Parker to take center stage once again. We know that Venom is going to be one of the most hyped characters for this sequel, but I am excited to see other rogues like Kraven the Hunter and maybe even Norman Osborn’s transformation into the Green Goblin.

Hopefully we get a new look at the game this coming August; though fingers crossed Sony will release something around June to ride on the hype of E3 2023.

No official release date has been announced for Spider-Man 2, but the game is expected to launch on the PS5 sometime this year.
