Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone are just fresh off their Oscar wins with Poor Things, and now Searchlight Pictures has decided to drop the first teaser for their next film Kinds of Kindness which also brings back some Poor Things cast members and then some.

KINDS OF KINDNESS is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.
Besides Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, and Margaret Qualley, the movie also includes the likes of Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, Mamoudou Athie, Joe Alwyn, and Hunter Schafer.
Based on the description, it does sound like Kinds of Kindness is going to be an anthology film which follows several different stories, but it would be great if Lanthimos found a way to bridge them all together.
After the dreamlike visuals of Poor Things, it does seem like this movie is going to look a bit more grounded; but we should still expect all kinds of nasty and freaky things to happen, seeing that Lanthimos is at the helm.
We don’t know if this movie is going to get the same level of acclaim as Poor Things, but at this point, some fans of Lanthimos are just happy to see the director be in his element.
Kind of Kindness is expected to come out in theaters on June 21.
