Gen V: Check Out Golden Boy from The Boys Spinoff

The Boys goes pretty in-depth in its world with superheroes, but we’re about to get a college lens at the canon of Vought with the upcoming spinoff Gen V. Just in, we have a look at upcoming hero Golden Boy played by Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Golden Boy looks to be the face of a new generation of supes and could very well be the Homelander of the show, what with his dangerous powers and alleged charisma. Then again, since he grew up with other people, as compared to Homelander’s isolated origins, it’s possible he could actually be more of a decent person—but that feels off-brand for a franchise like The Boys.

Golden Boy is only one of several young heroes that we’re going to meet in Gen V, and since we’re already familiar with just how slimy the heroes in this world can be, I’m curious what the youngsters that are being trained to be the next heroes are going to be like.

Besides the new cast, we should also get to see some familiar faces from The Boys to make guest appearances in this spinoff. This is just me, but I’m hoping we get a reference from Disney’s Sky High because that was the OG superhero school film.

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test.

Gen V is set to premiere this fall on Amazon Prime Video.
