The adventures of Cal Kestis continue with the upcoming sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and though we know new characters will be appearing in the game, it’s possible that another familiar face will be making an appearance.
As told during the Xbox Era podcast by Shepshal Nick (via Bespin Bulletin), it’s possible Darth Maul could be making an appearance in the game. Nick says, “I had heard that Darth Maul might be in it, but that doesn’t line up with the timeline does it?”
If you’ve been up to date with your Star Wars though, you’ll know that Maul is pretty much alive around the timeline after the Jedi Purge, and he would be running his crime syndicate Crimson Dawn. While this is just me guessing, it’s possible that Cal and the crew of the Mantis could find themselves tangled with the gang as they search for other Force-sensitive kids.
With characters like Saw Gerrera and Darth Vader showing up in the first game, we can probably expect more big cameos from Survivor. While I’m fine with appearances from ‘big’ characters like Yoda or Ben Kenobi, I think a lot of fans would be happy to see some more obscure characters make an appearance like the Ghost crew from Rebels. How about a young Din Djarin pre-Mandalorian on the hunt for Cal?
“What is your next move, Jedi?”
