Zach Braff Must Romantically Compete with Vanessa Hudgens in Trailer for French Girl

Valentine’s Day may be over, but you can watch rom-coms all year long. This March, Paramount movies is set to release a romantic comedy starring Zach Braff (Scrubs), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), and Evelyne Brochu (Paris Police 1900).

Check out the trailer for French Girl:

Here’s the official description for the film:

Zach Braff, Vanessa Hudgens, and Evelyne Brochu star in this heartwarming romantic comedy. Gordon, a hopeless romantic, finds his proposal plans are thrown into chaos when his girlfriend is swept away to Quebec by a job offer from her ex, a sophisticated celebrity chef. Determined to keep their love alive, Gordon leaves Brooklyn for her hometown, only to find himself hilariously out of his depth in attempting to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family.

Admittedly, Braff hasn’t managed to get a project that put him on the spotlight the way that Scrubs did, but he should be a comfortable face to see for any millennial looking for an easy-going rom-com. A lot of people are also happy to see Hudgens doing at least a little singing. Though she did have some musical numbers in tick, tick… BOOM! with Andrew Garfield, it’s a far cry from how much singing she had to do during her High School Musical days.

With the movie releasing on digital only, it does feel that the studio doesn’t have too much faith in the project, but so far, it does look like French Girl managed to get some great reviews as far as the online score goes.

French Girl releases on digital on March 19.
