There has always been a clear divide between Marvel Fox and the MCU, and with X-Men: Dark Phoenix ending that timeline, all we really have now is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What’s interesting though, is that one of the Disney+ shows looks to be bringing in someone from Fox’s X-Men franchise.
As per Murphy’s Multiverse, WandaVision has cast Quicksilver actor Evan Peters in a mystery role. We don’t really know who he’s playing, but everyone is already suspecting that he’s going to be reprising the role of Quicksilver in some kind of multiverse-altering scene.
Of course, it’s possible that he could be cast as someone else entirely. A lot of people who love him on American Horror Story thinks he would play a great Mephisto, but personally, I don’t want anyone to be the ‘villain’ of WandaVision. I just really want to watch Wanda cope with her own grief and watch how it manifests with her powers.
Personally, I would love to see Wanda try and bring her brother back in some way. The MCU has basically forgotten all about Quicksilver after Age of Ultron, and even Wanda doesn’t seem to care anymore. It would be fun if she would try to bring a Pietro from an alternate reality, and she ends up contacting Peters’ Quicksilver; of course, I also want to see a cameo from Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who was severely underutilized in the MCU.
WandaVision was originally set to come out in winter 2020, but seeing as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will likely be delayed, it’s possible the show could be pushed back.
