The expansion (and eventual world-domination) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t show signs of stopping anytime soon – and we love it. The studio is currently filming the fourth Avengers movie, which will bring together most of the characters from the MCU. Probably the most exciting thing is seeing the Avengers and the Guardians together for the first time.
The Avengers roster changed at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron and was later fractured in Captain America: Civil War, so (naturally) many questions remain about which heroes will pop up. The original Avengers are confirmed, as well as Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Spider-Man. But what about The Vision? After all, he is one of the most powerful (and loyal) elements the team currently has.
Fear no more: The Vision will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, as shown in a sneaky set-photo.
Thanks to a Reddit user, we have our first glimpse at Paul Bettany on the set of the movie. Production is mainly taking place in Atlanta, but they have briefly set up shop in Scotland. You can take a look at Bettany in full Vision-mode below. It’s a little blurry, but there is no mistaking the character’s distinctive look.
Avengers: Infinity War will be the culmination of the MCU as we know it. The Avengers and the Guardians (plus other heroes, like Stephen Strange) will come together to defeat the ultimate threat: Thanos. After all, he has managed to mess with both teams on different levels. Thanos is immensely powerful, and adding the power of the Infinity Gauntlet will make him the biggest threat these heroes have ever faced. In short, they will need all the help they can get.
Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for a May 4, 2018 release. The still untitled sequel will be released on May 3, 2019.
