It’s been more than two decades since we last saw Charlie and the rest of The Mighty Ducks on the ice. Add that and one animated adventure later and we honestly don’t know where the time went.

However, it appears our nostalgia can live on since it’s being reported by The Hollywood Reporter that a TV series based on the 90’s hockey movie trilogy is in the works. The original screenwriter from the movies Steven Brill is drafting the script for ABC and Jordan Kerner who produced the movies is also attached.

The Might Ducks started in 1992 and spawned three movies total ending with D3: The Mighty Ducks. The trilogy mainly followed Charlie, played by Joshua Jackson, but also starred Emilio Estevez as Gordan Bombay who was the main coach for the first two movies and played a minor role in the 3rd movie which involved the Ducks getting scholarships to the prestigious Eden Hall Academy.
