A lot of people are gearing up for the release of Disney+ this coming November, but it looks like HBO is also working on their own streaming service, and boy do they have a lineup. Just in, they’ve dropped a trailer for HBO Max, and it includes every original HBO show, plus some original content coming to the service.

HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s direct-to-consumer offering debuting in spring 2020. With 10,000 hours of curated premium content anticipated at launch, HBO Max will offer powerhouse programming for everyone in the home, bringing together HBO, a robust slate of new original series, key third-party licensed  programs and movies, and fan favorites from WarnerMedia’s rich library including  Warner Bros., New Line, DC, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, Looney Tunes and more.

While I’m personally against having to subscribe to multiple streaming services, I guess HBO does have a lot going for it. Not only is there a certain prestige when it comes to HBO shows, but they also have a lot of content coming from other networks. What’s more, they don’t have the same PG-13 wall that Disney+ is going to have, opening the service up for more content.

I guess when it comes down to it, we’ll have to see how much a subscription is worth. For now, Disney+ is at an advantage, being available for only $6.99 a month. We’ll just have to wait and see how HBO handles it.

HBO Max officially launches this coming May 2020.
