Terrifying New Trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Despite what some fans may say, Jurassic World was a huge success in the box office, and the sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, is set to come out later this year. With the Super Bowl comes a new trailer for the film, and it amps up the horror elements that everyone was talking about.

Check it out:

Besides the return of the raptors, we get to see what looks like another modified dinosaur. It looks like it has the arms of the Indominus Rex, but it seems much smaller—possibly making it more dangerous.

Why am I not surprised?

Here’s the official description:

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

Though I think the trailer had a lot of thrilling scenes, I think it made the mistake of the first trailer and revealed too many “shock” moments in the film. Now we know that Blue suddenly pops up to fight the new dinosaur, and that same dinosaur suddenly attacks a soldier that Owen and his gang run into.

Besides the annoying spoilers, I think the film looks pretty interesting. Hopefully, it manages to be a better sequel compared to the rest of the original Jurassic Park trilogy. I’m just hoping they don’t spoil all the moments before the movie comes out with a third trailer.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters June 22.
