But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.\u201d\r\n\r\nI think the trailer is cleverly made, and it harkens back to the absurdity that the Purge as a \u201cpatriotic\u201d holiday. Despite the films not getting that much critical acclaim, I think these films still present a pretty intriguing world and can open up a lot of conversations about modern society.\r\n\r\nThough on the surface each movie is about how different people handle \u201cmurder night,\u201d some people have noticed that each film is a commentary on the different social classes in the US. So much for a film that everyone usually sees just for the wanton violence.\r\n\r\nThe First Purge hits theaters July 4.
