Though Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may have ended the main Skywalker Saga, we should still expect the universe to keep expanding with Disney leading the charge. The franchise is scooping up actors left and right, and DC star Zachary Levi (Shazam!) already has an idea on who he wants to play should he be cast.

Here’s his post:

https://twitter.com/ZacharyLevi/status/1210769228527099910?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1210769228527099910&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fepicstream.com%2Fnews%2FNobelleBorines%2FStar-Wars-Zachary-Levi-Volunteers-to-Play-Dash-Rendar

In Star Wars Legends, Dash Rendar was basically another Han Solo-type, who was also from Corellia and had a ship called the Outrider. He was recently made canon again thanks to the Solo companion piece Tales from Vandor, so you can imagine that he has a lot of room to have his canon story expanded.

With a lot of fans asking for a Solo Disney+ series, I could say that Rendar might be a nice foil to Han Solo. With The Mandalorian also referencing Legends like crazy, it’s very possible that we could get Rendar appear at some point and have an adventure with Din Djarin. Either way, there’s a lot of room for this old fan favorite to join the ranks of canon somewhere down the line.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcntuOkflrE

For now, Levi has made a huge jump in his career, so I don’t expect him to make any TV appearances soon. Then again, he did have a great cameo role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel; what are the chances he could do the same for Star Wars?

For now, The Mandalorian is set to premiere with its second season in the fall of 2020. You can catch the stellar first season now on Disney+. Levi returns as Captain Marvel for Shazam! 2, in theaters April 1, 2022.
