After salvaging the cancelled Nimona, they’re now set to release a film about a senior lizard that’s going to help kids get out of their groove—and he’s voiced by none other than Adam Sandler.

Check out the latest trailer for Leo:

The official description for the movie reads:

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) delivers signature laughs in this coming-of-age animated musical comedy about the last year of elementary school – as seen through the eyes of a class pet. Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle (Bill Burr). When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students — including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. It ends up being the strangest but most rewarding bucket list ever…

Though Sandler is known to entertain audiences of all ages, it’s going to be fun seeing him paired up with someone like Bill Burr, who is has more of an adult fanbase. That being said, Burr is known for his hot takes on the younger generations; so I’m guessing he’s going to be the old grump while Sandler’s Leo is the one who’s going to be embracing what’s left of his life.

So far, the film looks great, and I’m sure there’s going to be a lot to love for the family. Watch out for Leo when it premieres on Netflix this Nov. 21.

Leo: Adam Sandler and Bill Burr Voice an Old Lizard and Turtle in Animated Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/leo-sandler-and-burr-voice-lizard-and-turtle/ Sat, 26 Aug 2023 08:13:35 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=78392 Adam Sandler may have taken a step back from the Hotel Transylvania franchise, but he’s coming back to voice another old character with Netflix’s animated musical comedy Leo.

The film is set to come out this Thanksgiving season, and we have our first trailer starring Sandler and a turtle that’s voiced by Bill Burr (F is for Family). Check this out:

The movie is co-directed by Robert Smigel who had written the Hotel Transylvania films, so you could imagine that Leo is going to be another family-friendly adventure; but instead of a father coming into terms with his growing daughter, we have an old Lizard grappling with its own morality—kind of a heavy subject for a kids’ movie.

Either way, the film looks like a lot of fun, and while a lot of fans would be excited for Sandler doing another silly voice, I personally just want to hear Bill Burr be a cranky old turtle.

Watch out for Leo when it starts streaming on Netflix on Nov. 21.
