While fans were engulfed in Legends of Tomorrow’s 1980s White House infiltration, the following promo aired during a commercial break.
Yes, it’s short, but it packs so much awesomeness. “Everybody, this is Supergirl,” Barry introduces the Girl of Steel to the rest of the Arrowverse heroes. In the clip, we see her meeting the core members of Team Arrow and the Legends. Team Flash, other than the Scarlet Speedster himself, is absent. However, it’s possible they already know her at this point.
At the end of Supergirl’s episode leading into the week of crossovers, Cisco and Barry will arrive. That much is evident in a recent set of photos released for the impending team-up episodes.
In the promo, as per usual, Ollie doesn’t seem impressed. Diggle appears calm, but it’s likely that in this clip he hasn’t seen the Maiden of Might in action. We can’t wait until he finally does. The person who’s the most hyped about the encounter is Felicity. “Best. Team-up. Ever,” she says excitedly, aptly conveying the audiences own fascination.
Other than a brief intro, this promo doesn’t offer much. However, we know there’s much more going on behind the scenes. The Dominators are coming, and Earth (all Earths?) will need all the help our guys can muster. With a slew of new information being released about the crossover, there’s still so much we don’t know.
How will the alien invaders be introduced? Does the team try to fight without Supergirl and Barry calls in a favor when the chips are down? Will any of the four shows’ individual big bads be present? So many questions. Luckily, they’ll all be answered in roughly three weeks time.
The crossover madness kicks off with Supergirl (kind of) on November 28. That Tuesday, The Flash will begin things proper. Wednesday, November 30 sees Arrow hit episode 100. And the Legends will drive us toward a conclusion to the Invasion! on December 1.
