There were quite a few rumours that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would contain a post-credits scene. Those reports turned out to be false, but now we’re hearing similar things about Suicide Squad. The difference here is that this latest report from ComicBook.Com says a mid-credit teaser is 100% confirmed for the third DCEU film, and apparently it’s going to be big.
There are no spoilers here over what exactly it is, but we’re being told a mid-credits scene has been shown in early screenings. While Marvel is known for featuring both mid-credits and post-credits scenes, David Ayer’s film only has one extra scene confirmed at this stage. Of course, we can’t be too greedy. After last week’s incredible Justice League trailer, we’re itching for more teases towards the future of the DECU. According to this report, that’s just what we’re getting:
“Now that the film has started screening, we have confirmation that there’s a scene in the middle of the credits. After the credits sequence rolls (that’s also called the “bumper,” the part before the plain black-and-white names and characters part rolls), using the same stylized hyper-colored imagery they’ve used in the posters and character art, there’s one more scene waiting for you on the other side. It’s pivotal and important, too.”
They went on to add that there could be a second extra scene that hasn’t yet been revlealed:
“There is not, however, an after-credits scene. Of course, this is also based on early screenings, so it could change after the film itself is released. We’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation, and should they provide it, will update.”
We’ve already seen that Warner Bros. is trying to change perceptions around their universe. Their Comic-Con panel proved that, as they stole the show at SDCC. With this news, it looks like there’s even more massive things in store for DC fans.
