Agents of SHIELD is close to Season 4 with Ghost Rider set to appear. The Spirit of Vengeance was recently unveiled, as the series showed off his flaming skull for the first time. Agents has now given us a brand new look at the character. Robbie Reyes appears on the poster for the new season, which features a stare down with the SHIELD team.
The first trailer for Season 4 hinted at a title change, with a Ghost Rider subtitle. This poster also has that subtitle, so expect that to stick around. This show is no stranger to subtitling, Season 1’s run in saw the show labelled Agents of SHIELD Uprising. That came as Captain America was taking down the HYDRA cells within SHIELD. However, this seems to be more of a marketing move.
Ghost Rider and his stare is clearly the focus of the poster. Outside of that, there’s little new. Mack has been made to look like a discount version of The Rock. Daisy Johnson/Quake is decked out in what seems to be SHIELD gear, but she’s not likely to be wearing that in the premiere. The first episode of the new season is going to really change the show, according to the synopsis.
The description for the next SHIELD episode reads, “In the season premiere episode, ‘The Ghost,’ Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same.”
We’re going to see a change in director and the status of SHIELD, so it won’t just be Ghost Rider changing things. However, his supernatural element will blow the minds of the science based show. Judging by his stare on this poster, he’s going to come after the team from the start.
Agents of SHIELD returns for Season 4 on September 20, with a much darker tone on top of their new timeslot.
