Star Wars: The Mandalorian Could Feature Appearance from Sabine Wren

We had just gotten an official announcement from Lucasfilm about the stars attached to Star Wars: The Mandalorian including Werner Herzog and Giancarlo Esposito, but we still have no idea which characters are coming to the series other than the lead Mando played by Pedro Pascal. Now some new rumors are coming out that Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels could actually be in the show.

This comes from Making Star Wars who reports that Sabine’s helmet has been found with the tech the movie is using for VFX. Weird thing is, we now know that Sabine’s helmet is in the series, but we don’t have any confirmation that Sabine herself will be appearing.

With this news out, some guess that Gina Carano (Deadpool) is actually playing an adult Sabine. With her being a young girl in Rebels, the timeline of Mandalorian (five years after Return of the Jedi) could place Sabine near Carano’s age.

Then again, it’s possible that this helmet that was spotted was just some kind of placeholder in the show to keep any pesky leaks from coming out.

The last we saw of Sabine was when she went on a mission with Ahsoka to find Ezra Bridger. We still don’t have a conclusion to that story, but it would be amazing if we got an answer with The Mandalorian. With Ezra’s location now a mystery in the canon, I would think that Lucasfilm would want to answer that question with something bigger than a comic.

Catch Star Wars: The Mandalorian when it debuts on Disney+ sometime next year.
