Star Wars: Kenobi Series could Start Shooting Next Month

While a lot of people are excited for Disney+’s Kenobi series, the show has undergone multiple delays, with the latest update saying production is going to start early 2021. What’s interesting though is word is going around that the show could start shooting as early as next month.

According to Making Star Wars, inside sources have claimed that a set from The Mandalorian being dubbed as ‘the train yard’ is being repurposed for the Kenobi show; what’s more, it’s said that shooting will begin by September.

For now, we should take this with a grain of salt. Even MSW is speculating that this could just mean start of production, but not the start of the actual shooting. With high production value that Star Wars is expected to have, you can bet that Lucasfilm is going to need a lot of prep-time to get every detail of a set right.

Until we get some significant update from the Kenobi show, I think this news is more in line with the upcoming Cassian Andor series which is said to be in the middle of production. Word has it that Andor is set to come out in 2021 and Kenobi in 2022; it would make sense that they would work on the Rogue One prequel first.

Then again, this is all just speculation on our part. Until Lucasfilm makes any significant announcements, all we can really do is put together pieces from the internet. Hopefully we get some kind of reveal alongside the Mandalorian 2 premiere.

Catch The Mandalorian 2 when it returns to Disney+ sometime this October.
