Star Wars Announces Zero Company from Fallen Order Devs

It had been teased that Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment were working on a tactics-based strategy game for Star Wars, and it was expecting a reveal at SW Celebration this weekend.

Just in, Star Wars has dropped a first look at Star Wars: Zero Company. Check this out:

The official description reads:

“Recruit an unconventional team of operatives and deploy them on missions unlike any other in the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars Zero Company!”

Take note, the characters revealed in the post is just a few of many ‘elite warriors’ and we should expect more Star Wars archetypes to show up from bounty hunters to Jedi. Maybe they’ll even bring in some fan-favorites like Anakin Skywalker or Jango Fett.

Admittedly, Star Wars has been on a slump when it comes to their variety of games. Sure there have been remasters of classic titles, but at least Zero Company is a completely original title compared to just being a modernized version of Empire at War.

Personally, I am kind of peeved that this game still takes place during the Clone Wars, but I am hopeful that future expansions or DLC will give us some more Sequel era content because the First Order and Resistance need some more stories if they’re ever going to cultivate a loyal fanbase.

Hopefully once the ST kids grow up we can start revisiting the Rey Skywalker era.

Expect more to be revealed about Star Wars: Zero Company at SW Celebration on April 19.
