Stan Lee’s Former Assistant Drops Trailer for Stan Lee Documentary

Stan Lee may have died back in 2018, but there have been several reports surrounding the time near his death that he was suffering from elder abuse by people around him.

Now his former assistant Jon Bolerjack has released a trailer for a documentary that seemingly chronicles the final years of Lee’s life and how he had become abused by the people around him. Here’s the first trailer for Stan Lee: The Final Chapter:

The official synopsis reads:

Stan Lee created Marvel comics and so many of the heroes and villains we grew to know and love…but the end of his own life, there was no hero to come to his rescue. Stan Lee: The Final Chapter details the shocking allegations of exploitation, neglect, and worse that the comic book legend suffered at the end of his life with never before seen footage of his final days. So how could something so terrible happen to a man so revered and so loved by millions? Find out as we bring you the official trailer for Stan Lee: The Final Chapter.

Around the time of Lee’s death, reports were already going around that his close associates were scamming him for millions of dollars, forcing him to do con appearances and meet-and-greets despite Lee’s clearly deteriorating health—and that can be seen in some shots in the docu.

There have also been accusations on Lee’s daughter J.C., who was said to have clashed with her own father over his estate.

With Lee having been gone for years, it’s certainly interesting to see all this new intimate footage of him. Hopefully this documentary sheds some more light on what happened, but that is if they manage to reach their Kickstarter goal.

For now, the movie is still looking for support on Kickstarter, and you can check that out here.
