Spider-Man will be the first MCU film to come out after Avengers 4, and after months of speculation, we finally get a title for the Homecoming sequel courtesy of Tom Holland.
Check it out:
It’s funny that the film should have Holland do the official reveal. The Marvel star does have the reputation of accidentally spoiling his projects during interviews. Even the way he presents the script in the video is done so that it seems that he doesn’t know that he just dropped the title to everyone who was watching.
Of course, there’s still a possibility that For from Home is a working title. It could change sometime during production. If they decide to keep this title, though, I have a feeling that the third movie will have something to do with “home” as well.
We don’t have an exact plot yet, but we do know that Jake Gyllenhaal is playing the comic villain Mysterio for the film. In the comics, Mysterio is a master special effects artist, and uses his control of illusion to get the upper hand. In the Old Man Logan comic, Mysterio was even good enough to fool Wolverine into murdering all of the X-Men; I wonder how they’re going to use him here.
Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home when it comes out July 5, 2019.
