After numerous leaked set photos and speculation, Spider-Man: Far from Home has finally wrapped filming. Tom Holland himself announced it on his Instagram, and there’s also a video him addressing the fans directly.
Check it out:
Here’s the video:

With Homecoming barely addressing the romance between Peter Parker and MJ, I’m guessing that it’s going to be built up more with this sequel. However, I kind of have a feeling that it won’t blossom into a full-blown romance at all, but just a close friendship between the two.
Personally, I like this slow burn between the characters. After all, I want to see MJ more as just ‘Spidey’s love interest’ when it comes to these films. She was already pretty quirky and fun in the first movie, and I’m excited to see more of Zendaya’s MJ in the sequel.
For now, we still don’t have an official synopsis for the film, but it’s possible that Marvel Studios is holding back on it because it could spoil the outcome of Avengers 4. I bet marketing for the movie would go full blast after the release of A4, but some people are hoping that we could at least get a teaser come December, just like we did with Spider-Man: Homecoming.
As far as we know, the film takes place mostly in Europe, the main villain is Mysterio, and Peter gets to wear at least three different Spider-Man outfits. Also, it’s possible that J.B. Smoove is J. Jonah Jameson, but that’s only speculation for now.
Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home when it hits theaters July 5, 2019.
