In two weeks, we’ll be seeing the end of Marvel Phase 3 with Spider-Man: Far from Home, and promos have been going out like crazy for the film. Just in, we have a new clip with Peter Parker having a pep talk with his new ally Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio.

The movie is really emphasizing on the brotherly relationship of the two, and I think that’s kind of interesting. With Peter having lost his role model, Mysterio would be the perfect character to fill in that hole—too bad he’s the villain, and it’s going to break Peter’s heart.
Then again, though fans are almost dead certain that Mysterio is the bad guy, maybe director Jon Watts and the writers have looked ahead and found a way to subvert our expectations. Maybe he really does come from another dimension? What if he’s just a lunatic who really thinks he’s a superhero? What I just want is that they don’t betray the original character; much like what happened with the Mandarin (or Trevor) in Iron Man 3.
Is Mysterio really the bad guy? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when the movie comes out.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.
