The DCEU is kicking off 2019 with the release of Shazam!, but still we haven’t seen an official photo of Zachary Levi as Captain Marvel. Though WB hasn’t released it online, Levi gives us a look at a photo of his Shazam on Instagram.

Sure, there have already been some set photos that have come out of Levi in costume. However, this image confirms that the movie will use some CGI to complete the entire look. Or not. There could just be a built-in LED in the shield, and the photos that leaked just have it turned off.
With most of the DCEU films looking dark and bleak, Shazam! promises an action comedy in the same vein as Guardians of the Galaxy. Everyone working on the film has also described it as Big but with Superman.
We don’t know when we’ll get our first look at the movie, but with the early 2019 release date, we should be getting a preview sometime later this year. For now, DC should be focused on marketing the only DCEU film coming out in 2018, Aquaman, and we have yet to get even one teaser.
Shazam! comes out April 5, 2019.
