The Avengers Should Like Each Other, Right?

Throughout the entirety of the MCU, the Avengers have never really gotten along. That’s inherent in the source material, but the MCU so far has highlighted the conflict among these characters. They hate each other for most of The Avengers until they come together at the end. Then they like each other in Avengers: Age of Ultron until they turn on Tony for creating Ultron. And then of course, there’s Captain America: Civil War.

The Avengers will have to put aside their differences to defeat Thanos. But after that, it would be nice to see a cohesive Avengers team for a little bit. If Marvel decides to make Secret Invasion an overarching storyline in Phase 4, the new Avengers team will inherently distrust each other. I believe it best if after Thanos, the Avengers are on better terms. That way when they inevitably fight each other again, it feels earned.

It’s completely possible to fit Secret Invasion into one movie. Civil War is as big of an arc, and Marvel managed to condense that into one film. Secret Invasion is a great storyline that deserves a cinematic representation. However, I personally don’t think it would be best to make it span several movies for the MCU going forward. Do you think differently? Let us know in the comments.
