A Daredevil Season 3 Villain may have been revealed

Earlier this month it was revealed that Daredevil is scheduled to begin filming in October this year and wrap up around June next year. It is likely that casting will take place over the next month to ensure a good preparation time before filming in October. During this, The Hashtag Show gave a huge character breakdown of a new character in Season 3 who will likely be a villain or at least an anti-hero.

[STEVE]  28-35, 5’9-6’1, Open ethnicity. An athletic but socially awkward FBI Agent, needs structure and rules to suppress the darkness inside himself. Athletic with medium build, responsible and resourceful, hair trigger temper. SERIES REGULAR

The character is set to be an antagonist for Matt in Season 3. Although we do not know the exact origins or even full name of the character. The athletic description would suggest that this character may be able to take on Matt in a fight with Daredevil being a master of martial arts and parkour. Perhaps the socially awkward side of ‘Steve’ would suggest that he may be doing the FBI work in a bid to suppress either a dark murderous side or a dark and tortured vigilante side, like The Punisher.

During the press trail for The Defenders, Charlie Cox hinted that he would like to see Season 3 take on the ‘Born Again’ story from Frank Miller’s comics. The story would likely include some of Matt’s Catholicism as it has been a factor in the show thus far. ‘Steve’ could be Sin Eater AKA. Stanley Carter. His work as an agent for Agents of Shield would fit the ‘FBI Agent’ description. After his experiment with super strength, he went to work for the NYPD. He then takes justice into his own hands after witnessing his police partner being killed. This kind of character would fit the show quite well as we have already seen The Punisher in action. Will this character be similar? The Punisher will premiere its first season on Netflix soon with Daredevil Season 3 premiering in 2018.
