The 8th Wonder of the World, King Kong, is one of cinema’s most iconic characters. Created near the genesis of the medium in the 1930s, the character has made numerous appearances in film over the past 80 years. He’s had a son, fought Godzilla, fell in love with a lady-Kong, fought against a robot-Kong (really). Now he’s back in Kong: Skull Island, which will tie him into the current Godzilla franchise.
At the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic Con, they revealed the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island and…
Wow, that is a big monkey.
Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Toby Kebbell, John Goodman and more, Kong: Skull Island is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who is new to the blockbuster arena. However, he clearly is considered an up-and-comer by the industry as he’s attached to direct a movie adaptation of the Metal Gear Solid video game.
‘Kong: Skull Island‘ will be released March 2017.
