Justice League may be over a year away from release, but a full trailer for the film was released at Comic-Con. You can see the first glimpse of the film below. We get a look at five of the six members of the team here, with Aquaman and The Flash heavily featured. There’s also a few hints at the plot of the film even at this early stage.
Bruce Wayne is the driving force of the trailer, as he looks to recruit both Arthur Curry and Barry Allen. Putting together the team is clearly going to be a huge part of Justice League, as they gather to face the threat of Steppenwolf. While he isn’t featured, it seems like there’s a Motherbox being buried early on. That’s what the villain is likely to be after on earth.
The tone of this trailer is a huge talking point. There’s an effort made to include more humour, a lot of that comes from Ezra Miller’s Flash. While he’s obviously going to be compared to Grant Gustin, he has more room to make jokes as a lesser star among the Justice League cast. We do get a few jokes from Batman, too. Clearly DC are looking to lighten up after the reaction to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Justice League is in theatres on November 17, 2017, so it’s likely to have a big presence at SDCC ’17, too.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
