Samsung’s Batman-Inspired Galaxy S7 Edge Revealed

Samsung’s Batman-Inspired Galaxy S7 Edge Revealed

You’ll need to make room in your utility belt for this sweet new Bat-device coming in the form of Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung is working in tandem with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment, to celebrate the third-year anniversary of Injustice: Gods Among Us. The smartphone is all black (of course, it is) and features the Bat-symbol in gold on the back. In the device’s official unboxing, which can be viewed below, the phone is shown to come with a gold-plated batarang, and a phone case inspired by the Batsuit. It’s all nicely packaged in a special collector’s box, alongside a Samsung Gear VR headset. Though, it should be noted the company has made known packaging may differ depending on certain markets.

The downside to this is that the smartphone will unfortunately launch in limited qualities. Available for purchase in June, Samsung says this edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge is set to only come to select territories, including Latin America, China, Singapore, Korea, and Russia. However, there is a shred of hope to be found in that the company plans on announcing more availability soon.

In select territories where the device will launch with the Gear VR headset, the package will also offer credit for the Injustice mobile game and Oculus VR content vouchers. In the press release, featured on Samsung’s Newsroom, Executive VP of Global Marketing, Younghee Lee stated the following:

“We are excited to partner with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and offer a special edition of Galaxy S7 edge for fans of Injustice: Gods Among Us. Samsung always seeks to provide the best mobile gaming experience for its users, and this partnership reinforces our commitment to the game’s fans.”
