First Look at the Reunited Cast of Malcolm in the Middle

Malcolm in the Middle ended way back in 2006, and almost 20 years later, a limited revival has been announced with most of the original cast members set to make a return.

Production is currently ongoing, but we have our first look at Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) as well as his much older parents Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek). Check this out:

Besides the three characters shown in the picture, the revival I also set to bring back Justin Berfield as Reese and Christopher Masterson as Francis. One actor that won’t be coming back is Erik Per Sullivan who played the part of the fourth brother Dewey, and he’s since bee replaced with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.

This is what we know about the story so far:

“Malcolm (Muniz) and his daughter are drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.”

Malcolm in the Middle is best known for its satire of lower-middle class America, and has been commended for showing a sitcom family that is actually struggling with money—around a time when most sitcoms usually have families that most show people in the higher class when it comes to their wealth.

We don’t know how the revival will change things, but it’s going to be interesting to see just how much Malcolm has changed as well as his parents Hal and Lois. You think Hal fell for all the fake news? What did they do during COVID?

No release date has been announced for the Malcolm in the Middle revival.
