After their success with Frozen II in 2019, Walt Disney Animation is set to take the spotlight from Pixar’s Soul with their upcoming feature Raya and the Last Dragon. The movie is set to come out this March, and we have an all-new action-packed trailer with the voices of Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Awkwafina (The Farewell).

Watch this:

While Raya had been the focus of the first teaser, this trailer reveals a whole cast of characters that would join her in her journey. We also get a look at the last dragon that the film would be about, and it’s also been revealed that she could shapeshift as well (to a form that looks a lot like Awkwafina no less).

I’ll admit, I’m kind of irked that the trailer kind of revealed everything there is to reveal about the film, but with Disney having hit it out of the park with their latest original films, I have no doubt that Raya will be able to blow audiences away again. After a series of sequels, it’s great to have some more original stories come out of Disney again.

“Raya and the Last Dragon” takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.

Raya and the Last Dragon is set to hit theaters and Disney+ Premier Access on March 5.
