While Marvel has made it clear that they would be publishing any new upcoming properties on Disney+, there are still some Marvel shows that are releasing outside of the Disney banner. One of them is MODOK on Hulu, and we have a new trailer which features Patton Oswalt as the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing.

In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet!
I just think that Oswalt is perfectly cast as the lead for this series. While a lot of fans know that he is a very deep-cut nerd, he also has this family-friendly image that is perfect for the angle that this show is going for. Besides him, the show also has other comedy stars like Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Reno 911), and Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation).
I guess it’s also a neat plus that this show is stop-motion animated, which gives it a very Robot Chicken vibe. Hopefully the show goes long enough to introduce Gwenpool down the line; as she’s a very interesting character who just so happens to be tied to MODOK.
