NYCC Schedule Release includes Felicity Jones, Karen Gillan and more

Last year at NYCC, we had a brand new Iron Fist debut and a Defenders panel to get excited about. Now we have Power Rangers, Star Wars and more.

Guests will also get a chance to meet some of the best comic book writers and artists from around the world ranging from authors of Daredevil comics to Assassin’s Creed and Disney Princess. Whether it’s a literary guest or an anime illustrator, there’s plenty of people to meet. As well as Felicity Jones, fans of Star Wars will also receive access to exclusive Funko Pops at the convention.

Whilst enjoying some of the famous contributors, guests will be able to attend panels and screenings across the 4 days. Some of the panels include tips for working at Marvel, Gender Identity in comics and representation for POC in comic books and comic book movie adaptations. Boom!Studios will also be holding a panel to discuss Power Rangers, the Go Go Power Rangers series and how they will develop future movies.

American God’s Ricky Whittle will also be headlining an American God’s panel. There will be some information on Season 2 and an inside look on what’s next for his character.

Diversity

If you’re looking for some information and education on diversity in comics and movies then both panels on Super Asian America and Luke Cage: Black Lives Matter will be both informative and entertaining with a discussion on why Luke Cage is such an important character for our times and why Ghost in the Shell and Death Note were badly received with fans and critics.

NYCC 2017 will take place on October 5-8 2017 in New York.
