Watchmen and His Dark Materials may have debuted on HBO this month, but next year will see the return of one of their bigger shows, Westworld. We don’t have a release date for the third season yet, but we just got a new mock promo for an in-universe company in the show called Incite.
If Data Is Destiny, Then You Chart the Path.
With the promo also comes the launch of an official site for Incite, and this was the official description on the page:
The world can feel chaotic: big problems, no solutions, no one to lead the way. Global issues may seem so complex that untangling the answers feels impossible. Here at Incite, we want to make “impossible” a thing of the past. Chaos is merely a pattern waiting to be uncovered. You can help us chart a better future.
Powered by our revolutionary strategy engine, we are able to calculate sophisticated solutions to problems large and small, from global climate change to personal career growth. We believe we have a personal responsibility to make the world a better place, starting at home. Here at Incite, your data doesn’t work for us — we work for you.
If anything, it kind of sounds like the HYDRA algorithm from Captain America: The Winter Soldier where HYDRA was able to analyze potential threats based on data they had on each individual. I guess this company has a more positive spin of their data harvesting, but I’m sure it’s going to lead to some kind of conspiracy that has something to do with Aaron Paul’s new character.
Westworld is probably one of the biggest and smartest shows on HBO right now, and I can’t wait to see more of it. Hopefully we get a better streamlined story as compared to the last season which got kind of confusing in an attempt to thwart fan theories.
No release date has been announced for Westworld 3, but it’s set to come out sometime in 2020.
