Ms. Marvel: Inhumans to be Recast With Vin Diesel

Marvel’s Inhumans kind of crashed and burned after one season back in 2017, but it looks like Marvel Studios is ready to reintroduce the characters in the upcoming Disney+ show, Ms. Marvel; too bad for the original cast though, because it looks like the studio is looking to recast.

According to The GWW, the Inhuman Royal Family will be making an appearance in Ms. Marvel. We don’t have any further details about their involvement, but it would make sense, seeing that Kamala’s powers come from being an inhuman. If the Royal Family was involved, it means that Marvel is sticking close to her origin, and they won’t be rewriting her as a mutant as some speculated.

Black Bolt and Maximus

With the series looking to recast, rumor has it that Marvel is currently eyeing two different MCU vets for different roles. Vin Diesel, who plays Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, is said to be considered for the role of Inhuman king Black Bolt. Diesel was said to have campaigned for the role before, and I think his physicality could actually look great for the character.

Besides Diesel, the studio is also said to be looking at Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) to play the role of Black Bolt’s villainous brother Maximus. Personally, I would prefer if they just recast the role with someone new, but if they can make Gemma Chan play different roles in Captain Marvel then Eternals, then they could probably do the same with Taylor-Johnson.

Here I was hoping he makes a cameo in the WandaVision series.

No release date has been set for Ms. Marvel, but Disney+ launches on Nov. 12.
