Remember last year at PSX when Shawn Layden trolled us with his Crash Bandicoot t-shirt? Everyone thought it was foreshadowing an impeding Crash announcement for the event. Remember how upset we all were when learning it was just an awesome shirt he decided to wear? Yeah… the things that could’ve been. Crash nostalgia strikes again with Vadu Amka’s Aku Aku Mask modified PS2.
Without the context of it being a PlayStation, it looks like a well crafted mask. The attention to detail is astonishing. Even the DualShock2 has been modded to mimic the look of the console.
Crash Bandicoot has been a series PlayStation fans have wanted to see return for nearly two decades. After Activision’s acquisition of the trademark in 2008, the series has been sitting idly in wait of attention from some talented developer. Alleged projects have come and gone, teases have caused many an uproar of hype, but nothing has stuck yet. As the wait for any semblance of a return continues to gray the heads of fans, it’s good to know the property is still able to resonate with the creative minds that adore it.
