Matt Reeves’ The Batman could Start Shooting in November

It’s been years since Matt Reeves was announced to direct the solo Batman movie, and updates for the film have been so scarce that some people were convinced that it was actually cancelled. As it turns out, the movie could be entering production sometime later this year.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Borys Kit explains:

The script is basically in, although Reeves will continue tweaking it and working on it. And I’m hearing the studio wants to start shooting in November. So let’s say between now and then?

While this November does seem like a far off date for the production start, I guess I’d rather have this than some more vague updates on the film. If you’ve followed the news on this film, you’ll know it’s been a rollercoaster ride of teasers of whether or not Affleck will be back as the Caped Crusader.

Hopefully this news that the movie could start in November will be solid. At this point, fans are suspecting that this film is aiming to come out in 2040.

If we have a late 2019 productions start for the film, we could be looking at a theatrical release late 2020 or early 2021. For now, we only have four DCEU movies coming down the line: Shazam!, Joker, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman 1984. It’s been said that films like Batgirl, Supergirl, Blackhawk, Green Lantern Corps, Nightwing, and more are also in the works.

No release date has been set for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
